I am Lucil LEPEUPLE, a bubbly French 25 years old and such as Dr. Frankenstein, I am eager to create life. That's why I love so much storytelling and what builds a film.

It goes without saying that I love everything that builds the world of animation and movies. Everything started when I saw The Hunchback of Notre Dame. I was 5 years old, I was sitting in the front row of the theater, and I watched this big cathedral burning with my kids’ eyes. It was so striking! I am living into this environment since then, I nourished myself with a countless number of books (you should see my book shelves!)

Anyway, I started my studies in a business school where I learnt a lot about management and communication. I wanted to be a video reporter, and I quickly moved on to animation films, because I  realised that it was more than just a hobby. As a result, I am ending up my 5th and last year of digital director studies at SUPINFOCOM in France.

I have done interships before:
I went to Super Umami, Scotland, for Summer 2015. I worked a lot on animations, layouts and cameras for a short movie called Dave. I collaborated essentially with the director (we were a very small team) and it was during this internship I discovered how to build layouts and how much it interested me.

Then, I went to Cyborn, Belgium, in the summer 2016 where I worked as a generalist artist and where I had the chance to work on a augmented reality project. I worked closely with the director, the producer and art director. I had to communicate, share and collaborate with people from various departments and, thanks to that, I developed a collaborative spirit.

I have been the team leader of Hooked (previously called Emerge), a 7min movie. Hooked is a film about alcoholism, told in a poetic way. We follow April, a young fish-headed woman who is, as all fish are, obsessed with water. After having thrown down the main ideas, as director I dedicated myself to the script, the storyboard and the layout, working on the environment and atmospheres. I also modeled the main character and did most of the animations. This last year gave me the ability to multi-task, find solutions on time to meet the deadlines, while managing the stress.

I may speak too much sometimes and be the only one to laugh at my jokes… But besides that I am a really hard worker, ready to tackle new challenges! So don’t be scared to work me, I can assure you I am a very good deal!

Don’t hesitate to ask me anything, It will be a pleasure to answer!
